According to Times Higher Education, the University of British Columbia’s psychology course was ranked 17th globally. The business program at British Columbia is also one of the top-rated courses. The average IELTS score required to get into the University of British Columbia is 6.5 while the GMAT score requirement is 650. For the University of Toronto, the average IELTS score is 7.5 with most students getting an acceptance if their GMAT score ranges above 669.

The student-to-faculty ratio at UBC is 11:1 whereas the ratio is 7:1 at UofT.
5. Weather
The year-round temperatures in Vancouver range between 9 and 22 degrees. During winters it is much more comfortable to live in British Columbia because temperatures do not usually fall below freezing. However, it gets extremely cold in Toronto during the winter. Temperatures can be as low as -7 to -10 degrees.
