I chose Rostrum to assist me with my graduate admissions in 2021. In 2020, I researched various organisations and spoke with several counsellors. A few of them told me I couldn't apply because I didn't have a four-year undergrad degree, among other things, and then I spoke with Shivangi from Rostrum's end. She was able to guide me through the process in a matter of minutes, and I felt confident enough to decide to work with them.
I was originally applying for fall intake 2022, but it seemed like a daunting task at the time, so I decided to take a gap year to gain more practical experience and strengthen my application. Ratish and Yatharth made sure I knew everything there was to know about taking a gap year, and they were happy to mentor me for the 2023 intake. When I applied this year, I was pleased with my application materials and how they reflected me as an individual and a potential student who is passionate about the counselling profession. I was admitted to Teachers College, Columbia University for a Master's degree in Mental Health Counseling (my first choice), and I'm glad I chose to work with them (especially Ratish and Shivangi) for my graduate admissions. I hope that other students going through this somewhat stressful phase receive the same level of consideration, dedicated support, and affable environment that I did from Rostrum and their team.

From the very first day that I started interacting with Raushan I felt uninhibited and confident in myself. As a mentor, she gave me the optimal combination of encouragement, while objectively critiquing my work. I think I had an advantage in this application process because our mentor-mentee compatibility for me, was excellent. My statement of purpose became better and more solid with every draft because of Raushan’s brilliant feedback. She helped me look at my own achievements and skills in a way that I hadn’t. I was surprised to know that I was the first applicant Raushan counselled at Rostrum, for the systematic, sensible, realistic and empowering perspective and method with which she helped me seemed to have been cultivated through an immense amount of experience. The application process exposes people to many aspects of their candidature, negative and positive, which inevitably brings about periods of self doubt and anxiety. For someone who was battling and continued to battle mental health issues during this period - I cannot thank Raushan enough for her patience and kindness. Thanks to Rostrum, and a special THANK YOU SO MUCH to Raushan for her astute advice in my journey to pursue legal education and instilling my faith in myself to get better and better. I heard about the rostrum from some of my friends who took their counselling services and got into their dream universities. When I was looking for my masters program in the UK, the first thing which came to my mind was approaching rostrum. I joined their service quite late in my application stage and was worried. However, the team at rostrum is very supportive and quick to take action. My counsellor Arpit held frequent meetings with me and set weekly targets to achieve for my personal statements and CV and gave really useful insights as to what the colleges are looking for in an applicant. When I received my interview calls from UCL and Imperial, I was again well connected to Ratish, who helped me massively with how to prepare for the interview questions and held a lot of mock interviews. I would recommend Rostrum to anyone who is looking to pursue their masters and undergraduate aspirations.

Working with the Rostrum team was indeed a great experience. US universities require 4 years of UG, but the expertise of Rostrum helped shortlisted universities where I could apply with 3 year degree undergrad degree. From timely follow ups, to working on applications of 10 universities, my counsellor helped me craft more than 10 university specific essays. The great attention to minute detail was something which truly made the process exciting. Dea and Ratish were available round the clock to address to queries ( some extremely stupid ones too).
